Whole of Government Committees

Oracle Reference Group

TMD has established an Oracle Licencing Reference Group to assist in the ongoing administration of the Agreement with Oracle to:

• develop charging models for the use of Oracle products licenced under the agreement
• formulate a process for the ordering and delivery of products
• provide advice on how best to manage the contract on an ongoing basis
• consider what additional value add services TMD might provide or coordinate
• to discuss and evaluate other relevant matters as may arise from time to time

Management Review Committee (MRC)

The MRC, established under the Networking Tasmania Agreement, consists of four Government representatives and four Telstra representatives. It meets on a monthly basis or as agreed.

The committee is chaired by the Manager, Networking Tasmania and TMD also provides administrative support.

The committee is responsible to:

• review and monitor day to day progress under the Agreement and all Contracts
• carry out such other functions as are set out in the Agreement or as are agreed in writing between the Contract Authority and the Contractor.

These functions include authorisation to changes in the NT agreement including:

• regular reviews of pricing
• service development and modifications to existing services
• technical and other operational related issues
• network security and incident management
• internet and other external gateway issues
• Whole of Contract reporting.

Services Management Committee (SMC)

The SMC is the highest level committee established under the Networking Tasmania Agreement.

Government representatives are the TMD Board members and the committee is chaired by the Deputy Secretary of Premier and Cabinet.

The SMC is responsible to review and montiro progress under the AGreement, all Contracts and the operations of the Review committee as detailed above.

The SMC is also responsible for strategic management of the agreement and both the Government and Telstra discuss opportunities and ongoing issues, including agreement on directions fo rht next six months and longer term strategic direction of the Agreement.

The contract (Telstra) is also required to report to the committee no activities over the previous six months such as:

• customer survey
• any disputes and resolutions
• demonstrate shound human resources practices including turnover of labour and redundancies.
