Tasmanian Government Mobile Phone Contract
The Tasmanian Government Mobile Phone Contract has been extended to March 2008.

The lead Agency for Voice, TMD manages the Contract on behalf of the Tasmanian Government. The Contract has delivered significant savings in mobile handset acquisition, ongoing network access and call charges. These savings have been a major factor in the number of agencies, local government bodies and schools availing themselves of the Mobile Phone Contract offer. Numbers have grown from 2,000 to over 7,100 today.

The extension to the Contract provides a strong platform for Government to build on current benefits with improved features and costs.

Another benefit of the Contract is the ability to use short-dialling between TASINET fixed and mobile phones. This feature is called TASINET MobileLink.
